I'm flying a Boeing 757 Transcontinental from JFK to LAX. Does anyone know if this plane has any entertainment options, and if I can use my own headphones? (ie. Does this plane have the double prong headphone jacks so you have to pay the $2 to buy headphones?)

  1. Acccording to www.seatguru.com, on Delta 757-200 TransCon aircraft:

"Every seat has a touchscreen with Audio and Video onDemand (AVOD), featuring several HBO movies, series, and specials, as well as network shows. In economy, you'll need the special double prong headphone adapter to use your own headphones. If you need to purchase headphones, the cost is $2."

However, you need to call Delta and ask about the exact aircraft they use on the route.  Delta operates four 757 models and two of them only have ceiling video displays in Economy.

  2. There are TV'S near the  over-head compartments.

  3. I took a commuter flight last month with Delta that did not have any entertainment due to the quick flight time.  Go to www.delta.com then the Traveling & Check-in drop down box then In-flight services, here's the link: http://www.delta.com/traveling_checkin/i...

You can find information about the food, movies, music, etc.

Try entering your flight number at the bottom of the left column on the Delta home page.  That might give you more information about the specific options available to you for your flight.

    Enjoy!
