  1. it will make you stand out, leave it

  2. i would say so so the sound of the song is balanced

  3. Yes! I have a band called FaithGirlz and me and my friend are both guitarists and we both sing, too. E-mail me if you need any ideas for the band, example, the name, songs, creating a concert, I can help you with that, all online. Hope I helped! :D Good luck with your band!

  4. If you're unwilling to play as a one-man band, then consider getting a good bass guitar man and perhaps a lead guitarist. That will free you up as accompaniment playing and singing--unless you can lead and play simultaneously as I did.

  5. yea...i am in a band and i play guitar and sing...and i have another guitarist...it just makes things sound better with a lead guitar and a rhythm guitar and its easier for you

  6. It really varies on the music you play and the type of music. It is easier to have another guitar player and a bass guitar player

  7. Well, it would've helped if you said what kind of music you're playing. Folk music artists sometimes have a single person, playing guitar and singing, and no one else in the band. Rock bands can have any amount of people you desire. The White Stripes, an alternative rock band, have 2 people in the band, one plays guitar and sings, and the other plays drums. Slipknot, a metal band, on the other hand, has 9 people in the band, thats vocals, 2 guitars, 2 percussion, samples, guitar, bass, and turntables! So the type of music can have an impact.

Also, whats available to you has an effect. My friend is in a band, and they've got 2 guitars, vocals, and drums, no bass guitar. It's kinda hard to find someone who plays bass. So they tune their guitars to Drop C. It works, because they're signed to a minor record label.

So anyway, you're probably going to want another guitar player, if you're going to concentrate on vocals. You'd probably end up playing rhythm guitar, and the other one play lead, the more complicated part. If you'd rather be lead, then you should probably get someone else to sing.
