  1. Barbados dollar is pegged at $.50 US.  Easily converted at the many banks on the island.

  2. Bajan saves time

  3. Barbados is very civilised. You can bring either and u can easily make ur way around. However u might as well bring US because its widely used and u wont have to change it back when ure returning home. The exchange rate is precise and stable so u can change a little of it at any bank whenever u want. Some bajans will even change it for u because they like the us dollar, and then u wont have to pay a fee!

  4. Whichever is convenient for you as both currencies are accepted.  The rate for USD to BDS is $1USD=$2BDS

  5. US Dollars are widely accepted so you can bring either.  You will however receive you change in Barbados Dollars when you make purchases.

  6. I took Barbados dollars to start us off. From then on I simply used my switch card at the local banks. Worked well and no cash to worry about. But make sure your card works (I ordered an brand new card from my bank and told them I would be using it!) and make sure it is accepted over there! I think credit card is an expensive way of getting cash as you seem to pay twice in exchange rates and cash withdrawals. Switch works well I found.
