Like its just cooler there, not that I've there but I'm sure its better then here. Your accents, culture, sports, etc.. Here in America what do we have thats cool seriously you tell me. You guys have JK Rowling, the best author ever, and Jude Law. I just love everything that has to do with the UK. Your accents are so cool, compared to my somewhat New York accent. Our president, not the smartest of people I'm sure you guys know. Ohh and i love football or soccer its like the most popular sport everywhere else in the world except The USA, we're obsessed with a sport thats called football that is played mostly with the hands. Thats smart isn't it?

Anyway please give me your opinions.

  1. ireland is the place to go!!

  2. Have you ever been to England? I am English, and i really did love it there. I live in australia now...IT has so many more opportunities then the uk did. I can understand you liking the accents and stuff, but seriously. If your thinking long term life wise...America is a much better place to be for the performing arts. Try it for a year....see what you think. Hey you may pick up the accent.

  3. come to ireland.       nice to hear an american wanting to come to the british isles

  4. I dunno, we have rubbish weather. Meant to be Summer and its raining today.

Can see where your coming from about sports though, football is the best sport, our football that is. Football with hands makes no sense at all.

As for you president, yeah he is an idiot, our PM isnt all that much better though

  5. You sure?

  6. Yeah, you're right. The UK is the best. Come to London, that's where I live. It rocks!

  7. Its very nice to hear an american be so nice about the UK, thank you!

  8. Ye,living in the sun can be a drag,when i

was away from England for a few years

i also hankered for the greenness and culture

of the old country. We also have tradition

history, lots of museums art galleries plus

we drive on the proper side of the road.

    Yep England swings.

  9. Easy Solution, find a UK guy and settle down there, but i wud suggest u to come for a while and stay as a resident and not as a tourist. the worst thing about UK is its so congested we have bus routes on the size of roads you use as cycle lanes. and another bad point is houses, they are old and small. best thing is you get anythin you want and anytime. another thing is London is like a zoo of people, you find ppl from every single country. drinkin age 18, wanna goto vacation to another country, bingo spend £100 for a weekend in Paris or Amsterdam..

if you would live in London, you dont need a car unless you have family. rather in USA you cant survive without a car.

we prefer small cars hatchbacks, engine size vary between 1litre to 2.0 mostly, and your cars, their engine size usually starts from 3.0 lit (now after much more rise in gasoline price, you still paying half than what we pay here) but its a small country and places ain't that far so you dont spend much fuel.

  10. come to Ireland. Best Bands .....U2 !   and best drink....Guinness and best soccer players who all happen to play for English teams.  Best looking girls also.

  11. Yeah UK is the coolest, but USA is cool too. I have family there (but they are English) and I love going on holiday there. New York (not where they live) is one of my favourite places. Authors? Ok I admit the best ones are English, and i'm not being biast, but you have good ones as well. You have people like Stephenie Meyer and Meg Cabot, which means you get the books earlier that us! Your president is a complete moron (no offence) but to be honest so is Gordon Brown. As for actors people like Orlando Bloom, Johnny Depp, Kirsten Dunst and more. Football (soccer) is the worst sport ever. It is so boring you would not believe. I know that is my opinin but hey. American's have cheerleading too which looks real fun, and I wish we had a cheerleading squad at my school, cause I would totally join. American football is fun. Plus we have a sport a bit like American football called Rugby, which is the best sport ever. Technically it is called Rugby Football and it is played mainly with the hands except when they kick it to score drop goals or conversions or just kick it out or the other end of the pitch. The weather is either wet, cold or wind most of the time apart from some days in the summer. It hardly ever snows. You have good singers though I do prefer bands from the UK like The Hoosiers or Duffy I like American bands like Avril and Jonas Brothers.  I love the UK but I want to live in USA for a year or so when i'm older. Maybe when you are a bit older you could rent a flat or appartment and live in the UK for a few months to see what you think of it?

  12. Come to northern ireland!

the only thing bad about here is the weather....

i'm not a fan of england tbh.

scotland and wales are good though

  13. Well im British and I love and proud to be I love England I love football I live in Spain (only bcoz moved with my family wen I was 11) you can smoke when your 18 and drink people are real there no offence to Americans. I say you move to England I would but I have to wait and save up money so what the weather is c**p living in the sun to long has made me really want to have a nice cozy night in by the fire.

And your right your president is a c**k, but ours aint any better lol if you do move go to London or Essex whoop I love it there. What football team do you support (soccer as you call it English team)

  14. Your assuming that the U.K is better than America without ever having been their? Sounds like the reverse of what Americans usually say. If you like it so much you should just move their. People outside of the U.S know what football is, you dont have to explain it.

  15. Its 9 in the morning here, its the middle of summer and its pouring down. Its rained for the last month. its forecast to rain for another month and I am going on my holidays next week! We have had 1 nice day in the last 30 days, just like any fantasy reality is quite different.

J K Rowling is good, but I think Shakespeare might have a word to say about her being the best author ever.

If you do come give London a couple of days, there is some nice things to see, but much of the tourist stuff is about as real as Disneyland, get out into the country and visit cities like York, Durham or Chester which are more typically English and full of history

  16. Ireland is very different from the UK,

so you'd have to consider the hugh differences and decide which you like more.

  17. seriously guys, England is only half of the UK in land area dont forget about the other places too!

  18. Yeah....come and join us : ). Just remember that your image of the UK and Ireland may not live up to the reality. There is a lot of cool stuff about being here - music, fashion, history, nightlife etc. But a lot that sucks too - bad weather, dodgy people, and it's expensive here.

  19. George W Bush may not be the smartest President of all time, but we have Gordon Brown as Prime Minister! Want to do a swap?
