I'm from the northeast, is there any pizza in the south that compares?

Only northerners will understand, pizza isn't just pizza and if another person tells me to try Mellow Mushroom, I'm going to scream(its good, but not northern style)! My fave is Pizzeria Regina in Boston, would love a recipe for that, but I'd be happy with a really good NY style pizza. I live in the south Atlanta area, willing to drive up to 2 hours for a d**n good pizza.

  1. McDonald's Mens Room Pizza

  2. There really is nothing like the pizzas of the NE us. It's a regional thing. You're not going to find a NewYork pie in LA that's worth a d**n. Same thing for you in Atlanta. Even if you find a place that claims a particular style of pie, the local  ingredients are going to taste different. Oh I do sooo miss Vesuvio's on Merrick ave in Long Island.

I suppose you could come close if you went to a chain joint like Uno's maybe.

  3. There was one place in Kentucky, a little whole in the wall called Fat Boy Pizza or something, it was almost Northern Style, really good... bu t I've never had a decent pizza farther south than Kentucky.

  4. There is no good pizza in the southern U.S. I have never been able to figure out why that is.
