Question:

I'm genetically thin and want to break out of it?

Hi

my parents are ok but my siblings are thin, both of them. and so am I. Whatever I try I dont gain weight so instead of trying hard and getting ill I was wondering if I'll eventually ever break out of this thing? im 22 right now

  1. The best thing to do is to enhance what God gave you. But keep in mind. For every pound of weight you gain it applies 4 pounds of weight to your knees. If you gain weight without working out this will reek havoc on your knees. You need support in the form of adequate muscle. In the process of becoming fit you run the risk of developing arthritis sooner.


  2. Yeah i'm in your situation too. It's tough being an ectomorph. I started buying supplements at gnc that have helped. I got some creatine that helped me put on a good 10-15 pounds of muscle, not fat. I'm 21 and i'm 5'8 170. I used to be 155. They're are some good supps out there that will help. Diet is key too.

  3. Most men will gain weigh a lot easier as they get older. Many men's metabolism will slow down thereby allowing weight gain. One thing you can try to do is increase the times during the day that you eat and drink. Make sure you are drinking plenty of milk. If you drink a gallon of skim milk a day, I guarantee you will put on some weight. Make sure that each meal is a two to three hours apart and eat good foods rich in protein and Carbs.  Make sure that you are not doing too much aerobic type activies while you are trying to amass some weight gain.

  4. Well, usually when adults get older, they begin to gain weight.  I never see super skinny adults.  You will eventually gain some weight.  Just don't try to gain too much.  

    You're actually lucky to be thin.  You WILL get fatter as you get older.  I would suggest just being happy until then, lol.  Being overweight stinks.

    However, if you can't gain any weight now, I highly suggest working out at the gym.  Get abs and muscles.  Try to get muscular.  This makes you seem less thin, because you will have good and strong muscles.  You will be physically fit, and not "Thin".  Don't give up.

    eat mc donalds and weighlift and eat lotsa carbs and pasta etc.

  7. Try cytogainer or similar protein or weight gainer shakes. Make sure you are eating more calories than you burn a day..life heavy, no cardio. Bodybuilding.com is a lot cheaper than GNC.
