I am getting a teddy bear hamster in about 1-2 months and I researched SOO much so I know all the basics. I want to know some little tips that would be handy for me. I`ve had a hamster when I was younger and I have other pets so I know things like ''give them water everyday and make sure they have food''......

Also what are some games I can play with them..........?

  1. i heard they bite.

  2. I had a teddy bear hamster that died (sadly). But keep this in mind teddy bear hamsters get pretty big compared to other hamsters. So I recommend you get a fairly big cage. Make sure you hold your hamster enough so he/she gets to know you and it wont bite. A pretty fun thing to do with your hamster is to get a hamster ball and follow them to see what they do. You cant really play games with a hamster but they are the best pets. Hope this helps.

  4. Teddy Bear Hamsters can be very smart. (As my sister and I found out the hard way) and they can have a craving for chocolate. The best you can do is make sure their cage is locked VERY well and chocolate is no where in the room. But they are very loving and like to be out with you more than in the cage.

  5. I got 2 teddies 2month old and they just love to hog the food i got them like 2 days ago and they're HUGE but I also take them out sometimes and play a game like i take a carrot and trail it around and they follow it!!! :D:D:D:D good luck

  6. Well it's important to play with them a lot or they might bite. My friend had one and she enjoyed playing in the yard with it and watching it dig. But make sure s/he can't escape from the yard or you could get it a play pen. They grow pretty big so a large cage is good to have. They can play in a ball and you can also make them things to play in like a card bored town or something like that. But be carful to always watch s/he when it's playing outside it;s cage if you make it something to play in unless you get a safe play pen.
