I'm getting a blackberry curve 8320 this week, i was wondering if you can add a phone charm to the phone?

either rubber or the shell, (hard cover), does the hard cover for the phone make the phone bulky?

Yes you can put a charm on it. There is a hole on the side that's allows that. Also any rubber cover or shell will make phone not able to fit the case that it comes with but its good to have one if you drop ur phone a lot.

Due to the plastic nature of the casing, a tacky charm banging against it for a prolonged period is pretty much a guarantee that it'll crack or get badly scratched. That's not covered under the warranty so I hope you bought BlackBerry insurance (it's about $6/month). Second, there IS a silicone skin but it only protects the edges and back. Go to www.invisibleshield.com for a really durable cover if you want to get a skin that leaves the screen unprotected. (If you aren't convinced, watch the video at the bottom under the video tab.) Finally, there is no hard cover, just a plastic holster that clips the phone in and can be hooked on a belt. It isn't attractive and is very bulky.
