This isn't really a big problem but, I'm getting a hamster, but I have no idea where to put it! I decided not to put it in my room because my friend who has a hamster said that at night they're really noisy. But, the other rooms are really noisy. And I heard that hamsters like a quiet place. I don't think I can put it downstairs because that's where my parents watch tv. And my mom is scared of hamsters, even though she's letting me get one. However upstairs We have my sisters room, my sis is in college so she probably won't mind, but then again, she is my sister, I dunno, I could put it in the computer room, but I hang out there a lot, and I usually listen to music. So basically the only rooms available are my sister's room, the computer room, and possibly the guest room. Tell me your thoughts! Thanx!

but i have them in my wwalk in closet. you cant hear them and its quiet in mine... maybe if u have a big closet u can put it in there

    hope this helps

  2. I think the computer room is a great idea. I don't think it will mind the music.  My daughters have one in their room and they are pretty noisy and he just sleeps right through it.

  3. i have my hamsters in my room.. i listen to music and stuff too but as long as it isnt all the time it isnt bad.. when mine get too noisy i just put them in the bathroom for the night and things are good, in your case i would ask your sister if it is ok if ou can put it in her room if she said yeah but move it when i get home then oyu can just put it in the guest room for the time she is home.. well i hope i helped..

  4. i have one and it's so easy  just choose aplace near tha bathroom or a terrase

    take care with it

  5. guest room. lots of my friends put their pet rodents in the guest room

  6. Our hamster is in the kitchen, on a counter away from all the food and stuff.  It's loud and noisy all over our house, and he still manages to sleep soundly.  When I clean his cage, it's usually during the day when he's sleeping, and he is out cold when I go to move him out to clean.  So, he should be fine where ever you put him.

Yes, they are noisy.  We have one of those critter trail cages, with the plastic wheel inside the cage, and it's still loud at night when he runs on it.  Freaked out my mom when she spent the night once lol.....Mine also likes to chew on his cage bars trying to make the great escape, that's not as loud as the wheel, but still might be disturbing when you're trying to sleep.

I wouldn't recommend taking the wheel out though at night.  They are nocturnal, and do need their exercise, and they enjoy running on the wheel.

  7. I thought my hammy would be really noisy but the only noise she made at night was her wheel and you can take it out at night or not have one and eating but that is not too loud and if you but  anywhere else your hamster might not bond with you and that will not make a very nice hamster!
