Question:

I'm getting a koi pond...?

the only problem is i'm going to have to dig it my self. It won't be actual koi but the goldfish that get big, (you get at 3 inches for 48 cents apeice) what is the minimum depth and width that they can be in? (if it's any help i live in florda). thx

  1. I would say go for at least 2 feet deep since they get one foot each and 3 feet deep would be best.


  2. Ya i would say about three feet deep by 10- 15 feet across. It depends how far you wanna go and how much digging you wanna do. I have seen people keep then in shallow ponds but the deeper water would be better because then they can go down to cooler water if it gets too hot. Well at least slightly cooler anyways lol. You should get koi they are better, just dont buy the expensive ones go to a pet store and get the cheep ones that are almost the same price as goldfish.
