I'm getting a tank for my freshwater fish, but the tank was used for saltwater fish, is that a problem?

Typically, no.  Just rinse to remove any traces of salt.  If the tank came with the former substrate and rock, you may want to consider what type of fish to add if you don't plan to replace these - the substrate and rock are carbonate material and will increase the pH and hardness of your water - that's fine for livebearers and African cichlids, not so great for Central and South American species like tetras.  So depending on what you plan to keep in the tank, you might want to look at a different substrate and decor.
