I'm getting a tattoo on my wrist, its small and its going to be a black outline of the star?

how bad will this hurt from a scale to 1-10..10 being the worst pain

It's pretty sensitive.. but not like getting your rib cage or spine tattooed.. i'd say you can expect a 7 or 8.. not many tattoos are as little as 1-5....

ps - i know about 8 girls that have stars on their wrists.. get original people!

a 2 tattoos don't hurt as bad as ppl say your not getting it filled say that's good & its small.

I always hear the wrist does kind hurt, and its only because for most girls, there really no meat there, just skin and bone... But your tattoo seems so small, I'm sure it wont be that bad.. So I say a 7

10. Chances are someday you will regret it and want it removed, which is not only expensive, but it hurts. A lot. Or, you may not be able to afford to have it removed and you'll be stuck with the consequences for the rest of your life. Think about how that thing is gonna look when your old and wrinkly. Plus you'll have a much lower chance of getting a job with that tattoo. Think about it.

It depends on your own threshold to pain and also, the skill of the tattoo artist.  That part is close to the bones and there are less tissues to cushion the skin while it is being tattooed.  Expect pain but remember, its only temporary.  It's nothing you can't bear.

yep it will hurt. but all your getting is outline it want take that long. anyway after its over,you will be thrilled. i have 6, and i love them. go girl...

It really depends on your threshold for pain.

I personally didn't think the wrists hurt that bad (maybe a 3) but that is me.  You may think it is an 8.

I don't know what the pain level is, as I've never had a tattoo their, I've heard it hurts quite a bit.

My suggestion is to go with a more original idea for a tattoo, everybody and their sister has a star on their wrist these days... lol

I have a trail of filled-in stars on my inner wrist/forearm, starting at the base of my hand. In terms of rating the pain, it's all relative. Everyone's threshold is different. If you've never had a tattoo before it's hard to compare. The closer to the base of your hand it is, the more hurts, I can tell you that. The top one was crazy. And like I said, I had them filled in so I was hurtin', but it wasn't unbearable or tear-inducing. So I don't know that I could give it a numerical rating, but since you're only getting one and it's not filled in, even if it is pretty painful for you, it'll only be for like 10 or 15 minutes. It'll be really tender for a few days after, but if it's what you want it's beyond worth it. Be brave!! (it helps if you have a really friendly tattoo artist doing it-- I talked with him all the way through and it calmed my nerves and distracted me from the discomfort)

I actually have a small tattoo on my inner left wrist of the outline of a heart. It cost 50$ and it took 20 seconds to do, but yes it did hurt a lil bit, but not as much as you would think. I have 4 others and every time i overreact and think it will hurt so bad, but when i get in there, its nothing. I'm thinkin about getin an outline of a star on my right one like you are, and yes it is very sensitive there, but once you get in there and it starts, the adrenaline will kick in, and it wil be over before you know it. Just make sure you are sure that that is what you want, because alot of jobs dont allow tattoos on wrists, but they are very cute, and i love mine to death.
