I'm getting a waste gate valve fitted soon.. does this help my bhp. my car is subaru turbo 2000 uk!!

If it is stuck shut it will decrease your performance but it might keep the thing from throwing a rod. If your old one is stuck open then you will see an improvement.

Are you talking about the waste gate actuator? Or the blow off valve?  The actuator may help you hold boost a little better and spool up too.  A blow off valve will do ZERO fro performance and only hurt your motor and idle so I would not do it.
