I'm getting braces in a few weeks and I am a serious candyholic, lol. What are certain candies and foods that you can't eat. I know the orthodontists will give me a list of things I can and can't eat but I want to know now so I can eat them before I get my braces! :)

  1. lol. You can't eat anything chewy, like gummy bears or gummy worms. Starburst, taffy, and anything with peanuts. Eh it sucks but you'll get used to it.

  2. no carmel, nuts, popcorn stuff like that no gummies. I've had braces for a year and now i can sorta eat snickers so yea. i just eat popcorn sloooow

  3. Hiya!!

Say goodbye to everything - Just kidding!

Actually, just steer clear of Carmel, any kinds of sticky candy(Snickers, Twix, etc.), nuts, && Popcorn (If you do eat popcorn take if VERY slow..........you don't want to break one of your bracket's OR get something stuck in your teeth...It makes it hurt alot worse!)

I thought I was having to give up chewing gum - but they have so many different gum choices that wasn't the case.

You will be able to still have some candy - just nothing sticky & hard...

You'll do fine & you will get use to it...:)

Good Luck, I Love'd having braces!

  4.    The list doesn't matter you can have pretty much anything stay away from taffy and do not chew tooo much gum at one time stay away from from bubble gum I chew orbit and stuff and and thats ok but I have found that bubble gum Is alot worse!  BREAD IS HORRIBLE get stuck in your braces horibbly !  And do not use too much wax then your gum will not grow so that after a while it will not work.     Good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is not as bad as people say really it is not  I have to keep mine for the next 2 years!

  5. Its best to avoid anything really sticky such as gum and toffee!
