  1. First of all you need a base, like '17 even tone correcting make up base' (it's green, but takes the redness out of your complexion). If you've got lots of money to spend I'd try benefit they of loads of great products to colour correct skin e.g Dr. Feelgood, Lemonaid

Then you need to invest in a really good foundation. I use lancome 'Teint Idol' (amazing stuff!), you need something that is oil-free. Go to the makeup counters, clinque is really good they diagnose your skin to help you choose the right products.

Then finish with a translucent powder on your t-zone to soak up the oil and set the foundation so it stays on.

The website links are some of the products I use (your not alone I have the same problem with my skin!!) Good luck x

  2. omg i have exactly the same problem

i used to use dream matte mousse but even the palest was too dark!

After you have cleansed toned and moisturised your skin give it about twenty minutes to soak in, before wiping the excess off! This is essential!

Now i use 17 hide away concealer stick (extra fair) under my eyes, down my nose and cheeks, and to cover any spots. Then i go over my whole face with maybellines pure foundation mineral. It really gives you a flawless feel and stays really natural looking.

    Honestly i love it!!

    xx

p.s btw the foundation mineral is really healthy on your skin and its oil free!!

  3. Hi,

I have the same skin! Oily forehead and nose, and reddish ruddy cheeks and dry skin on other parts.

Do yourself a HUGE favor and order some samples of the following:

    Oil control powder (probably fair)

Hollywood mineral foundation (try the neutral or beige shades)

Greenish concealer and the Bisque concealer (green neutralizes the red. apply VERYlightly, a little goes a long way,)

    Veil in Fair beige

    Application:

Put the concealer on your cheeks. put the oil control powder on your oily parts, then the foundation over that, then the veil.

The ingredients in the foundation absob oil, and will moisturize where needed too! They have samples for like $1  on their site and they ship em free anywhere:)

  4. try a powder foundation.  That'll get rid of all the oil.

  5. Having oily skin is difficult because when you have foundation on, it tends to change color and smear off during the day.  First of all, make sure that you are not overdrying your skin. All that does is make your skin produce more oil.  Second, the best foundation you can use is BareMinerals. I shouldn't tell you this-I work for M.A.C!  Last but not least, buy some oil blotters.  You can blot oil off your face throughout the day without smudging your makeup...      xoxo......

  6. there's this new this new thing called skin ID it will ask you a few questions and then it will tell you your skin ID  and you can order it just go to skinID.com it helped me i hope it helps you

  7. BareMinerals is the best! Its a powder foundation and its actually healthy for youe skin!

  8. i would go to a local department store or if you have a sephora like store and ask someone to help you pick out the right shade

  9. Hi I would suggest the make up that Nicola Roberts from Girls aloud designed called the Dainty Doll range. It was made for people with fair skin and she had the same problem. She has pale skin like you and could not find a foundation to match her skin colour. So look up the website below or there is a branch of the shop called Jelly Pong Pong at Covent Garden. The shop also sells other make up too. Its very pretty.

    Hope i could help.
