I got a call today from my boss who said that he no longer needs me because he says he doesn't think that i enjoy working there by the way i look at work. thing is, i love my job, and dont know why he thinks that, other than that he just hired a lot of new people who are better looking than me (im a waitress at a bar). he said i could come in tomorrow to talk to him about it if i want to see if we could "work things out". i am in a bad place financially right now. what should i do tomorrow? im so nervous.

  1. If you do your job well he better have some damned good reason or you should threaten legal action.

  2. First you gotta work on your enthusiasm.  Now, I know working in an environment dealing with the public can be stressful, and doing the work that you do( which you've probably done for some time)can take away your entire morale after awhile, but keep in mind that the bills do have to be paid, and you do have to survive, so holding on to any job is crucial.  Go in and have a serious sit-down with your boss.  Tell him how much you enjoy working there and why you should never be replaced ( your experience; longevity, etc.)

Keep your job until you can get a better one.

  3. Ask him exactly why he doesn't think you're suitable. Make him give details. Then analyze it from there.

  4. Tell him what you really feel. Sometimes the most productive way is to say what you mean from the heart.

  5. He's probably trying to say that you aren't projecting a positive attitude towards the customers, like smiling.  If you enjoy the job this wouldn't be hard to work out.

  6. fight for your job, he has no right to fire you because you are so called unhappy looking on the job.hes judging you, dont let he do that, if you love it tell the dummy that, good luck
