  1. they should not have sent you home! that blood pressure reading is dangerously high! i was induced 4 days early for having blood pressures running 150/90 from 20 wks on!

  2. Honestly, it does seem a little strange, however they are the doctors! They wouldn't send you home early, if they genuinely felt you weren't well enough for it. They aren't legally fit to, let alone morally, ethically, etc...

Over here, there is also a policy where a doctor will not induce until after 42 weeks, so I guess that depends on the doctor.

But obviously, the doctor will have to induce early, if your life or the babies' is in danger!

  3. You can do something for yourself! Do you want your baby on all kinds of drugs while his brain is being developed or other health hazarous. You can control your blood thru your diet. Stop drinking sodium pops/drinks, salted chips, popcorn, just eat foods very low or no sodium. Chicken breast, oatmeal, fresh veggies. Drink lots of water to flush sodium out of your body.Ask your  dr what can you do for yourself? Search on the google for lowering blood pressure- you are ultimately responsible for your own health.

  4. I think that your blood pressure was way too high. Get another oppinion ASAP

  5. Yes, it could get worse...I'm surprised they let you go. I would think they would want to induce you like yesterday!!

Did they put you on bed rest?...Tell you to see your doc tomorrow for NST/BPP (non stress test and biophysical profile...are you spilling protein in your urine...headaches...visual problems...excessive swelling...I don't think they should let you go 2 weeks. 140/80 is all ready hypertension.
