  1. I think it sounds like fun. What ideas are you looking for specifically?

http://offbeatbride.ning.com/group/hallo... has alot of helpful ideas as well as http://www.halloweenforum.com

    Orange flowers include:

roses, callas, dahlias, mums (although they don't work for bouquets, they can be used in centerpieces), gerbera daisies

  2. That's what I was going to say have a costume party

You can probably buy a lot of decorations at the dollar store

Around here, that's all they have

You can bob for apples and do other holloween games at the reception

    That woudl be fun

  3. What do u need suggestions with?

Is it going to be a fancy affair?

you can use pumkins as centerpieces

  4. Hi.  Wow....that is only about 2 months away!  What exactly do you want suggestion on?  Let us know....

    ~ centerpieces?

    ~ flowers?

    ~ food?

    Exactly what.

EDIT:  Ok, thanks for the extra information.

~ Flowers:  Depends on your budget.  They can dye carnations orange if you want that....or get white carnations and have them "dipped" on the ends in orange.  There are also orange lillies (which will be more expensive) as well as orange roses.  Go to a florist and see what you can get with your budget.

~ Centerpieces:  The carved out pumpkins would fit in with your theme really well.  Yes, use them as vases and put in some flowers.  The flowers can be cheap ones, such as carnations.  OR...since it's outside....carve faces in the pumpkins and insert a candle.

~ Outside wedding:  Just make sure you have a back-up plan in case it is pouring rain.

~ Favors:  Well, since it's Halloween....you might as well go with some candy wrapped in tulle and tied with a ribbon.

~ Costumes:  Sorry, this is one area where I can't think of anything!  I was always terrible at thinking of Halloween costumes.

    Good luck!

  5. First of all, take a deep breath! October 31 isn't very far away. You both need to sit down some time VERY soon and decide a few basic things:

    1. What kind of budget do you have? Before you decide what you're doing or where you need to know how much you can spend. If you getting help from members of your family you also needs to discuss who's paying for what and when and possibly consider writing it all down so there can't be any hurt feelings later.

    2. What size wedding do you want? This is kinda related to the first question, as the amount of money you can spend often effects the size of the occasion you can have. But do you want a small, intimate gathering with just a few close friends and family? Or do you want to have an all out extraganza and invite half the neighborhood and everyone you ever grew up with?

    3. What time of day is this going to take place? If it's later in the day or at night most people will expect to fed, but an early afternoon or morning ceremony most people will only expect snacks and punch. As it's taking place on Halloween you might want to consider doing it earlier. Some people will have little kids that will want to go trick-or-treating and others will not want to drive home late as there can be some pretty strange people that come out.

    4. Guest list and invitations. You'll need to get the invitations out asap so that people will have enough time to plan to atten, especially if you expect them to wear a costume. I think it's a great idea, but most folks need quite a bit of warning to get ready for something like that.

    5. Who's going to be in it? Selections for bridesmaids, MOH, groomsmen and BM need to made pretty quick so they'll have time to figure out if they can afford it, and arrange for outfits, costumes or otherwise.

Overall I like the idea of having a Halloween wedding, we even considered doing it ourselves (we decided on the 4th of Oct instead) If you get on the ball I think it'll turn out great! But please remember to have fun and enjoy yourself!

  6. tell your future husband to stop being a bum and help you, its his wedding too.  thats my suggestion.

  7. Make sure you have a back-up plan.......

  8. I love the idea of a costume party, but I think you really need to make sure people do not wear costumes to the ceremony.  Also, unless you want the Halloween theme in the wedding, I think I would either stick to brown and orange or keep it very classy.

  9. Wow!  You are getting married on my 30th birthday....d**n I feel old!  I would do nightmare before christmas or the corpse bride.  For favors you can get those really small jack o' lanterns that you put candy in.  I don't know my mind is wandering now that I am thinking of being 30 :)

This site has tons of things you could use

  10. I am not really sure what you need suggestions for.

  11. Party favors could be small pumpkins with two hearts carved in or black jello with candy corn inside a party bag. If it is outdoor, you can have smiling pumpkin faces on brown paper bags with an artificial candle lit inside to hang. Centerpieces can be Black lanterns with 2 kissing doves decor/confetti stuck on. Invited should wear only masks that cover only the eyes, dressed elegantly, or costumes with no mask (for safety puposes). Punch bowl can be red(for love) and have candy eyeballs, or something white inside. Bride and groom can paint their face pale as if you're dead/zombies. Groom can also be like dracula tuxedo.
