  1. It depends on the company you're going with and how much you like their work.

For example, if you're hiring a large company and the photographer & videographer and others are employees of that company, it would be polite (and proper etiquette) to tip them, but then it depends on how happy you are with their work and if you can afford it. Weddings are expensive enough and I certainly would not be tipping someone if I was not impressed with their work, and if I were already paying top dollar for their services.

If you're hiring individuals (which most of them are - they work for themselves) then definitely no need to tip. They've charged you an arm and a leg as it is, and they're keeping everything they are charging you anyway, minus what it costs them to do the job.

I'd say keep some cash on you on the night and make up your mind then, if they are employees and are doing a great job, give them some extra cash half way through the night and tell them they're doing a great job - that way they'll continue doing a great job! :)

Best of luck with it all :)

  2. Absolutley tip! It is not just common courtesy, but it may get you a few extras, or better pics, etc... You should give them their tip prior to the event, when you pay them. 10 to 20 percent gratuity is perfectly acceptable. They will definatley appreciate it!

  3. The standard is to tip each party performing services 15 percent of the cost of the package purchased.  Tip in cash only, to do otherwise is inappropriate.
