I'm getting married in Jalandhar and would love some advice please!?

I am getting married in Jalandhar in Feb / March 2009 and am organising it from the UK.

I would love some advice on venues, reputable photographers, make up and hair artists - basically everything! Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Why dont you request the family of your would be in laws for these arrangements ( may be on payment by your family) . It is my suggestion. There are many marriage palaces and resorts ranging from Rs. Fifty thousands to Ten lacs with all arrangements and even more than that .

Organizing from UK,good,so the very first thing you should mind to arrange is to get the marriage properly registered & get a valid marriage certificate from the Registrar of marriages in India as this very certificate will be the most important document to bring your spouse to UK after your marriage on the basis of Spousal visa/immigration. The venue for marriage ceremonies, reputable photographers, make up & hair artist all will be of no value when the UK immigration ask you to produce the valid marriage certificate for consideration of your petition/application for the immigration/green card of your spouse, then you will be posting question in Yahoo & seeking advice from UK how to get the marriage registered & obtain Valid marriage certificate as that issue missed your mind when you were here for this marriage, none of the reputed photographers or makeup artist or hair artist will come to get you that valid marriage certificate & you will be posting direct mails to people like me to help you on this account. I'm a very frank & open man who least bothers for any one & talks only sense & issues concerning law so don't mind my sarcastic reply here. Think about this very issues which I have pointed out to you, go ahead with proper documentation so that your immigration petition don't get delayed in future.

Come to Jalandhar for a couple of weeks, organize everything and then be assured that everything will go off well.
