  1. All wedding magazines have a tick list and some have a month-by-month countdown. I think confetti.co.uk has a good one.

First of all book your venue and then yor church if you are marrying in church. Everything else can fit in with that.

Other things you will need to get on with soon because of advance booking are: flowers, photographer, transport, cake, musicians.

Ignore the comments about divorce- I'm sure you are well aware they can happen and have carefully thought through your decison to marry. Congratulations- but do try to let him have a say in some wedding day decisions!

  2. Next year! You have plenty of time. You should buy the clothes and stuff like a month before your wedding as clothes go out of fashion very soon. As for things like your wedding venue, invitation cards etc can be looked after from now itself.

    Good luck.

  3. date

    venue

    music

    food

    flowers

    dress

    bridesmaids

    invitations.....

    the list is endless!!!

have a look through some of the wedding magazines or buy yourself a book. they usually tell you step by step what you need to be doing.

  4. Me too !!!

Its best to get things like the date and the venue sorted first, then book photographers, think about music do you want a live band or a dj ?, what sort of car you will have to take you to the wedding, where you want to hold the reception and will it be a buffett or a sit down meal. Once all these things are taken care of (they need to be booked in advance for obvious reasons) you can then work out your list of guests etc., and decide who you want for chief bridesmaid and your little ones and your fiance has to chose best man etc.,

Its best to go online and find a month by month countdown planner, it will tell you what to do in advance.

Good luck, when are you getting marrried have you decided yet ? Mine is on 6th June

  5. kids

    bills

how to keep getting along & stay in love

  6. Sorry - the cost of divorce.

  7. an affair? lol

  8. me too!

It depends on where u live... coz many places get booked up well in advance.

First thing is... ur budget!  How much can you save between now & then (if u are paying for it).

Set a budget & work with your partner, what you want in a wedding day!

    Start to price these things.

Find a venue, meet with venue people & pay a deposit.

Then, u save like mad!!   Start getting sample wedding invites, looking at magazines for ideas for what u want.

11 months before .... look for a dress etc..

Oh there is so much to do that you should find some wedding magazine websites.. they have a good list of time plans.

  9. The man you are marrying, what you have in common, how he behaves when times are tough, is he a person you want to have children with , does he agree (crucial) what about his attitude to money ( this causes waaaay more arguements than anything else.) What is he like to live with, do you share similar standard of what is acceptably tidy etc. We tend to focus on the wedding and forget about the marriage. If you are not sure buy a fabulous dress and go to Ascot or some other "event"

  10. Congratulations!

The Hall (where you want to host)

    The time

    The date

    dress

    matching jewelry

    suit for the groom

    hall decoration

    the honeymoon

the gift list (if you live in the uk, you should give this job to john lewis. the system has a gift list, things from their store, the guests will then be able to see what they want to give you. if the object is pricey, people might team up to buy it. It also ensures that you don't get two of the same gifts!)

Food (to be served to the guests)

    bridesmaids

    bridemades clothes

    invitations

    flowers

    music

    reception

    Photographers

    videoman

    Boquet

and last but not least THE CAKE!!!!!

I hope everything goes well, good luck!!!!
