I would stay away from Christmas.  Maybe earlier in the month.  More people would be able to come.  If you have it right around Christmas, a lot of people are unable to attend.  And no spring colors.  Do darker colors.  It will look beautiful!! Good Luck!

my sister got married December 23rd.  It was very hectic being right around christmas, so if you are close to christmas, don't expect a lot of out of town people- because its hard around the holidays.  but its beautiful as far as decorating all the holiday decorations are already up and everything.  You can do whatever colors you want- but because of the winter- i'd suggest darker jewel tones- dark red, dark blue, etc.

you have the pearl harbor anniversary to work around (12-7) and also (trivia) Princess Diana and Prince Charles divorce was Dec. 9th. Try stay awayaway from Christmas.
