I'm getting my braces off tomorrow? What should I expect?

I'm so worried my teeth will be discolored!

and does it hurt?

it takes about 20 minutes to take the braces off. it doesnt hurt its like a wave of relief you feel so free (like skinny dipping!) when you get your braces off. they are soo slimy feeling it took me about a day and a half to get used to the feeling. it doesnt hurt at all its surprisingly painless i didnt feel a thing..i think

yaay, no more braces!!! it's really not a big deal! The appointment length depends on your orthodontist and what not...but they basically just take off the bands, then the wire (like at all the reg. checkups where they tighten them), then snap off all the individual braces. That's IT! OH then they clean off the glue, and fit you for a retainer. and THEN you have a gorgeous smile! it feels awkward at first and discoloring just depends on how much you cleaned while you had the braces, but you can always get them whitened!good luck

The appointment doesn't take long - definitely less than an hour. There is a bit of pressure when they pop off those brackets - but nothing you can't handle at this point. It will feel very weird (felt slimy to me!) to have them off. There could be a small amount of discoloration - it all depends on how well you took care of them while you had them on. Be sure to take lots of pictures, and enjoy! Oh, and the only pain you will have by the end of the day is pain from smiling so much - you will be so happy! :-D

your teeth feel a bit slimy but its fine, and your teeth could be a bit yellow but you should be fine, it takes about 30-40min to get them off!!

but once off, they off forever!!!! YAY!!

Its ok if it becomes discolored just brush your teeth. lol.

no it does not hurt if you think about your new life with out braces.

and not VERY long like putting on braces might be ugly but one thing it helps.

but only 3 minutes. one to clean teeth, two, to get stuff ready and last take it out SOFTLY :]

its my knowledge ive seen alot of ppl getting braces pulled!

your teeth might be discolored, but they whiten them for you :) usually.

it does not hurt at all. but if they take impressions for retainers after, it sucks, but doesn't hurt.

and you feel pressure when they pop the brackets off, but it doesn't hurt.

and it usually takes like 1-2 hours :]

haha hi just got mine off not too long ago i wasnt a very good brusher but dont worry if you have any color disfunction it will be ver slight and eay to fixz with crest strips. it will hardly be noticable and the strips take affect within the first one or two uses. it does not hurt and they are off witth in like 3 min. then they scratch off the extra cement this could be kinda uncomfortable cuz it sounds funny but it wont hurt its like a vibrating feeling so it may even tickle. good luck!! im sure you'll be very pretty. i know my  teeth came out pretty good =]
