I'm getting my insurance producers license. What's the best way to open an office in NJ. How can I work with carriers. I have a sales background but don't have any experience in the insurance industry. What type of computer programs would help me manage accounts? Thanks

  1. OK, what was your plan?  Unless you go to work for a direct writer like State Farm or Farmers, you're pretty much going to have to work for someone else for a few years, to get to know the business and build your book.  Independents aren't going to appoint you, with NO experience.

  2. Under your circumstance,I suggest here for you to have a visit.

  3. I really don't know, but if you want a business system that is already in place and all you need to do is find people, you should check out Primerica Financial Services, which is a Citigroup company. Primerica allows you to build a company within a company. They keep track of all your data and reports online and you can view it anytime. There's even training online to help you learn the products and how to build a build a business. If you have a palm pilot, you can fill out a life application on it and have the client sign it and then you just hook it up to your PC and send it to the home office.

But if you want to try to open your own business, good luck with that.
