  1. omg thatt is what i want too. im getting it when i turn 18. urgh like 2 more years! =\

  2. Hey, i have had my lip pierced for about two years now. so:

    Does it hurt?

Not when its pierced, but it is a little sore for about a week after

    How do they do it?

With me, they numbed the lip first (i know that doesnt always happen) and they draw a little dot on the area, where you want it. Then you sit back a little. And they pop a needle through it (i didnt feel that bit, and asked her if she had done it.) then the either pop a bcr (Ball Closure ring) through, or a labret. they then clean it up a little and its done :)

    How much does it cost?

it varies, some places ive seen it for £15, personally mine was £20 and then i bought the cleaning solution which was another £3.

lip piercings rock :) do it... andhey if you hate it, you can take it out and it closes up real quick, and for most (aparently nearly all, according to a piercer) it doesnt even leave a scar.

  3. I had mine done for 4 years until i got bored of it

It doesnt hurt just stings a bit, depending on where you get it done some places numb the area but some don't.

they have a long needle push it through the lip then put the lip bar/ring on the end and as they pull it out the bar/ring will go through your lip and thats it.

cost depends on the place you do to do some research first!

  4. To get it done properly where i live its £25. Apparently its not painful.

  5. oral piercings are the least painful....

they do it with a needle, they clamp your lip first...over in seconds.

    cost hmm £20ish.

  6. it feels a little worse than getting your ear pierced but not that much because your body's reaction to the pain is to make it go numb so that really helps..it depends ..mine cost $20 but it was like a special they had..it should be no more than around $ 35 though... what they do is clean your lip.. then they make a mark as to where you choose to put it.. they pull your lip with some device that look like tongs and thats supposed to help them not pierce in the wrong place..then comes the needle and after that the put the ring and then you have to rinse your mouth.. i suggest you let a girl do it since they have slimmer fingers which lets them take less time putting the ring

  7. don't do it not good

  8. Yes, it hurts. Not unbearably or people wouldn't have more than one piercing. It feels like a little poke (the only time you can really feel the needle is right at the skin surface) and then its like a lot of pressure. If you breathe the way they tell you you'll likely jump a little bit but its over in like 1 second. It will hurt but don't let that stop you because you're brain has no memory for pain, only the thought of pain, so you might remember "yeah, that hurt alot", but you won't remember the actual feeling. If it was that bad people wouldn't go back for multiple piercings. So yes, it hurts, will that matter in the end? likely not.

How they do it.. they will mark the spot with a little pen, then they will clean the outside of your lip with iodine or something similar, and give you a special mouthwash for the inside of your mouth.. it actually will numb your lip a bit so you're supposed to keep it in your mouth as long as you can and try to get it near the piercing. (But the goal is not to completely numb it.. the pain really isn't that bad). Then they'll use a clamp (some piercers prefer to go freehand but most will use clamps)... they're basically like a little pair of tongs, so like with a hollow O on the end, they'll use that to hold your lip. Alot of people say the clamp is the worst part because it doesn't let your blood move, essentially putting your lip to sleep. Again, the goal is not to reduce pain but to hold your lip and line up the needle. They'll then push the needle through, fairly quickly. They don't like, SHOVE it through but they push it through pretty quickly. Probably takes 1/2 a second, then they push the jewelry through after that (usually just a plain cbr, or they'll let you pick it out).

Then they clean it with whatever cleaner they like (usually bactine or something) and give you the aftercare and your on your way.

And it depends where you live as to how much it costs, and sometimes you have to pay more for the jewelry. Given you use just plain jewelry (where I live in Ontario), it ranges from 35 to 55 dollars. One place I go specializes in piercings and also does tattoos, and the piercers are busy all day, it's 35. Other places that specialize in tattoo and occasionally do piercings are a little higher priced. I've heard of them charging anywhere from 20 to 75 dollars. Its less at a busier place where they can push people through faster (you'll likely  be there for under 10 minutes if the piercer knows what they're doing)...

If you have any more questions feel free to email me,,, I've been pierced about 14 times (never specifically lip, but went with friends when they got theirs, and have had other facial piercings), so I know the routine fairly well
