  1. you dont feel anything =)

    and take your contacts out!

  2. No it doesn't hurt, It just makes your pupils big so the eye doctor can look for glaucoma. Yes you will have to remove  your contacts. They just put yellow colored eye drops in your eyes. You have to wait for 20 min and then they check your eyes. Bring sunglasses if you have them. Your eyes will be a little sensitive to the sun for about 2 hrs.

  3. yeah i got mine dilated when i was 12 and it wasn't that bad...

    it's just eyedrops

just expect everything to be really bright afterward.. sometimes they make you wear these weird sunglasses so its not so bright

oh and make sure you take your contacts out too

  4. This is a pretty routine procedure at the eye doctors. Dilating the eyes just allows them to see your eyes better.

My doctor just puts eye drops in my eyes. It is cold at first, but otherwise causes no discomfort. These will make your pupils larger, so your eyes will be more sensitive to bright light and you may feel a bit dizzy or disoriented as it does mess with your vision a little.

But it is painless and not really a big deal, so don't worry too much about it! As far as I know, most doctors just use the eye drops. :)

  5. Dilation does not hurt.  Several drops are put in each eye over a period of several minutes.  Tell the nurse you have contacts in and the nurse will tell you what to do.  Your vision may be slightly blurry for a few hours.  Your eyes will stay dilated for several hours, probably.  You will need sunglasses when you go outside, until the dilation goes away.  The doctor's office should have some throwaway sunglasses to give to you.

    Don't worry....it's no big deal.

  6. it wont hurt itll just be cold and take your contacts out but the ppl at the doctors will tell you to do that itll b fine just bring sunglasses or a hat or something with for after wards expecially if its a sunny day

  7. it hurts so bad!

im 17 and i got my eyes checked when i was 16

after the first eye i wouldnt let the eye doctor guy do the other..

    so i did it : ]

  8. it won't hurt. when you get there let them know you have them in and they'll probably ask you to take them out.

but MAKE SURE YOU HAVE SUNGLASSES!!!!!!!!! you'll need them. if you don't have any they'll make you wear these cheap huge ugly ones lol.
