Question:

I'm getting my tonsils out t/m. And I'm a full time college student. Will I be okay to at least "attend" ?

  1. Yes, you'll be able to attend, and you'll be able to talk, too, even though you probably won't feel like talking. The only way you wouldn't be able to attend is if you took a lot of pain medicine and slept too much. Haha.

    I got my tonsils out a few years ago and I think the pain can be described as the worst case of tonsillitis I've ever had, but it certainly didn't stop me from doing my day-to-day activities. I even went to an all-day softball tournament the next day because I am crazy.

    Do what you feel up to doing. If your doctor suggests otherwise, then listen; but honestly, I don't see why you wouldn't be able to attend class.


  2. You may be ok to just sit for a short while but I doubt you will feel like it.

  3. i really don't think you'll feel like but i think you could

    although my doctor said during the first week after my tonsillectomy i was quite prone to infection so he advised me to not go out at all that first week
