I'm getting phone calls from 708-999-8989. Who is this and why are they calling?

Several calls that past 3 days. Any ideas?

It looks like it is some kind of Spanish Telemarketing Call.  There are a bunch of comments from people at CallFerret ( http://www.callferret.com/708-999-8989.h... ) over the past several days.  It should be a cellphone number from Illinois, but since it is disconnected, they are probably just spoofing the Caller ID.

you probably are behind on a bill. or maybe someone put a fake number on an application or something and it just happend to be yours. answer it and tell them to stop calling.

There are a lot of people that get this number but almost everyone has never answer the call. They are usaly al away from there phone!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'd call them back, it may be someone who is too shy to leave a message and is just hoping to talk to you directly.  I do that often.

Or it could be a wrong number and the person won't stop calling until you tell them since they don't realize and they want to get in touch with a friend.
