its getting to be annoying because the post is already posted before I get the email so it goes to everyone in my group. I dont want to see these p**n sites and I know that the members of my group dont want to either. Is there something I can do to stop this c**p from going on?? is anyone else having the same problem??

  1. If they aren't in your group, then the settings of your group are probably to allow postings without membership. I suggest you change this to allow only members to post.

You may also want to moderate the act of joining the group, otherwise spammers can join, post and leave again (and grab the posts for any email addresses).

Or you can set new members to be moderated (overring the group settings), so you can keep an eye on them until you see they are genuine members. They can still read all the posts, so this doesn't stop spammers who are trawling messages for more email addresses

  2. a) If your group is open to public you may make it restricted (or even closed) - this will disable everyone on the net to send messages to your group

    b) make your group moderated so that you'll approve or reject any every message that is sent to your group before it is sent to all the other members.

  3. Some spammers hack into groups and post. Change your group settings to where all messages are moderated.  Then you can catch and delete the p**n messages before they are posted.

We experienced this with a member who we had banned.  The person hacked in and posted c**p.  We changed the setting I mentioned above and that took care of it. Good luck with this aggravating problem!

  4. you can <spam> them.....highlight and hit spam......... and also if you like to delete your group just sign in the site and remove your membership...or make yourself private or just for friends only.
