I'm getting really confused about the pronunciations of those words,please help!?

i'm not a native english speaker,i get really confused and frustrated by the pronunciations of those words, words like capital,careful,gentle,able

my problem is with pronouncing the last two letters of all those words i mentioned."ul,al,le"

although i have listened to the radio many times trying to hear the standard pronunciations of those words clearly. each time i think i hear something different

sometimes they all sound like "oh",sometimes like something else.

could someone out there kind enough to help a poor english learner?

all these words have the same ending sound.

CAP-i-tul, CARE-ful, GEN-tul, A-bul...just make that sound shorter than the first part of the word. The sound is a quick 'uhl', not oo.

I think it depends on which part of the country the speaker is from, their accent and how fast they speak.  The standard would be the spelling.  If the word ends in -al, say it that way.
