I'm getting shafted for my senior year of football, what can i do?!?

i play defensive tackle (its my 2nd year on the team). i bust my *** off during practice, i make penitration through the o-line, yet i'm still getting shafted.

i know its a rebuilding year at our school, but why am i getting sidelined and what can i do to stop it?!

  1. simple you arent that good as you think (or the coaches think) or someone else at your position is a better fit for the team. all i can tell you is keep busting you butt off or ask about switching into a different position try fullback or something...


  2. There may be so many reasons why your getting "shafted" Politics, favoritism. I'm sure that I can't give you the exact answer you want but there is nothing wrong with going up to the coach and telling him that you want to kick *** this year and what can you do or improve on to get more playing time. He has to listen to you and at least give you a shot, since he knows that you really want to play. If you say nothing than nothing is probably what will happen.    Your a Senior!     F*ck it!  ask him.

  3. the only thing you can do is make your coaches notice you in practice. But you don't want to try too hard and make yourself look like an idiot. Just do your job on a consistent basis and beat out whoever is above you in the depth chart.
