I just increased the memory on my PC from 3GB to 8GB (I only have a 32 bit version of Vista that I'm going to upgrade to a 64 bit later on) and after the installation i restarted my PC and it worked fine but randomly I get the blue screen of death and my PC restarts automatically back into windows and then ill get the blue screen of death again randomly and my PC restarts automatically back into windows again and this randomly keeps happening and its getting really frustrating. I know i installed the memory properly because if i didn't i don't think it will boot into windows properly. Can someone please help me?

  1. Try running memtest but one stick installed at a time. This exercise should identify a problematic/unstable stick. Also try cleaning the DIMM slots that were previously empty. Dust accumulation may be causing erratic contact with the pins of the RAM modules.

  2. Could be a problem with device drivers, hardware or software. This  problem can be solved by uninstalling new software, updating device drivers and making minor configuration changes . From http://fixit.in/bluescreenofdeath.html . You can also run a free registry scan using utilities from http://re7.info

  3. There had to be a virus attached to the hardware in order for this to happen. There is no possible way that you could have gotten that blue screan without having a virus! Email me for more details if needed!
