I'm getting two parakeets?

Question

a male and a female and they said the female might be ready to lay an egg do i need to put male in a diffrent cage or should i just leave him with the female i just dont want the male to stress out the female and she kill the eggs!

parakeets can raise babies by themselves, you will need a nest box to attach to your cage for a place for the female to raise the eggs, you will also need cuttlebone, this gives the female calcuim to lay the egg, they will need good "breeding food" to feed the babies. the male wont stress the female out, he will help raise them...goodluck and check out http://www.parrotcentral.net/parakeets.h... for good parakeet info
