I'm goin to travel in India with a long term student visa,do i still need return tickets??..?

do i still need letters or visa is enough?..i was invited by ISKCON,,and they will shoulder all my expenses..we will be there for more than 6 mos or so...im going to study vedic literature and not take courses in university..and my daugter will come with me too with long term visa also..hope u can help me guys..thanx in advance

  2. Return ticket is not necessary. However, buy an open ticket where you can fill your return date as per convinience two weeks prior to departure. This will be a cheaper option. This is not mandatory for the visa.

    Try to locate someone who has attended the course earlier. They may be able to guide you properly. The ISCKON must have information regarding this. If you are travelling on a visitor's visa (and most probaly that is the case) you must have a return ticket also. Aslo find out if there is some special provisions for vedic studies. If you are planning to stay for a longer period than six months, you may later apply for exension..
