I'm 30-I'm finishing basics for nursing school-I'm married with 4 kids all under 6 & also going back to work part-time in a couple weeks -3 classes are on campus & 2 on-line - I think I can handle it but I'n not sure-my husband said it's up to me? Does anyone else have kids, work & go to school full-time?

  1. I took 6 classes last fall and got straight A's, but then again, I don't have kids and I wasn't working...

  2. It sounds like too much to me*

  3. Well everyone handles multiple activities differently but in my experience, I found that 5 classes was just too much. I was a 21, 22 full-time college student while working as well so I didn't have quite the load you will but I still had a lot going on. I took 5 courses a semester for the first couple years and my grades started to suffer. When I dropped to 4 (you're still considered full-time at 4) I made nothing but A's. So it really worked in my benefit. I would suggest trying 5 for a semester to see if you really can handle it and if you find that it's too much drop down to 4. Yes, it will take you longer to graduate, but it's worth it if your grades are reflected nicely.
