I'm going hiking what should i bring with me while hiking?

A friend, a cell phone, a gps locator.  Other supplies depend on where and for how long you are going.  But, every year we hear of numerous hikers who were injured or ill, or lost and no one was there o to help them and they had no way to call for help. Also be sure to tell people where you are going and when you plan to return.
