  1. study a little everyday so you don't have to cram everything the night before the test, always do hw cuz theyre the easy points, dont be late to class becuase some teachers take points off that you tried so hard to get. good luck in high school

  2. Nothing really that different from middle school. Just pay attention, take notes in class, do all your homework and don't wait until the night before to start working on papers.

  3. o well if really want to get good grades ur goin to have to chang everything about about ur self

  4. pay attention in class and make sure u get that homework done.  youll be fine!  good luck in your new year!

  5. just do what you did in middle school... u may have to try a little harder.....make some flash cards for global and english....do the questions in your text book....high school is just more work as long as your up to it ull be fine

  6. Do what the teacher tells you to do. They're not assigning B.S., you'll really need to know the stuff. Do all the homework it really helps. Take an interest in what you're learning, don't moan and groan about it. Because even if you sike yourself into thinking the subject is fun or awesome, you'll start to enjoy it. Take notes when the teacher asks!!!

  7. -Don't procrastinate

    -Manage your time

-Try and do homework and projects as soon as possible (preferably when you get home, or even during lunch)

-Eat a good breakfast to keep yourself awake in class

-Sleep on time, and at the same time every day

-Sit away from friends at the front of class to pay maximum attention

-Start studying as soon as possible

-Ask questions and don't be shy, go to extra help when you need to

-Get a tutor if you are struggling

-Barrons math books are usually pretty helpful in learning math, Sparknotes is a good website for helping you understand books you read in English

-Take good notes to study from, make sure they are neat

-Study in a neat space with no distractions

-Study a little each night as soon as you are aware of a test

-For social studies and English tests read over your notes and go to the website Sparknotes if you are being tested on a book; for math and science read over your notes, and do lots of practice questions

  8. Good question!

Im gonna be a junior, and have finished my first 2 years with straight A's.

First of all, if notes help you, take them!

If you take bad notes share with a friend who does and you can be study partners.

Second, don't be afraid to come in outside of class to get help if you are confused. This helps you understand and gets you on good terms with your teacher ;)

Finally, don't be too distracted by the opposite s*x. It's ok to mess around in the halls and stuff, but in class make sure you dont talk all the time or flirt during class. But make sure to have fun and still be social.

  9. OK THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT. seriously.

Don't slack. Your freshman year is THE year to get ahead of all your slacking classmates. They are just as amused and excited as you are, (ha) but you really need to just do well or at least do your best. Then you won't have any regrets later on. I will be a senior in HS this upcoming fall, and that is what a lot of my classmates have told me. They really regret not trying harder freshman year.

    Study tips...

Don't procrastinate. It's the one thing that never leaves you. >.<

Form a small study group to keep you focused throughout the year.

    Don't panic during tests.

Make good, trusting friends to get you through hs. It really isn't that bad, but you should have those close friends by your side.

Be nice to your teacher and really show them that you care about school.

Get to know other teachers who might be able to help you later on.

Be nice to everyone else too.

    Sleep.

:) I hope that helps and good luck this year!

  10. I would just say to "use your time wisely". Teachers and parents always say this, but its true. If you just plan out your time instead of leaving projects and assignments to the last minute, you will have no problems. Just try to do them as soon as possible so you don't have to be stressing over it when the due date is coming up.

Also, try to push yourself to yourrr limit instead of comparing yourself to classmates because that is something I definately regret. I could have worked so much harder and done so much better overall if I just worked myyy hardest instead of thinking "Ohh, well I don't have to work that hard and yet I can still be in the top of my class" so I slacked and got straight A's when really i could have gotten 99's and 100's across the board if I would have just tried.. [**Education in South Carolina is not one of the best in the States, as I'm sure some have heard, so it doesn't take much to get high grades, when really, I havent learned nearly as much as B students in other parts of the country]

But yeah, I would say that is some of the best advice I have on how to do well in High School. Some people love it, some people hate it, but either way, dont let it Get to you :) Try your best to enjoy yourself and make good friends.. It's a chance for you to start freshh

  11. yup

even tho it gets boring, a time table helps - A LOT!

espec. if you're like, a social butterfly or something

so, a schedule of all your subjects stuck above your desk, in your locker, diary helps

spare locker keys? dunno if you use those over there but i'm a bit hasty on combination locks

always have spare stationary for YOU to use as back up!

revise EVERY night! even if there's no hwk, it's good to walk into class the next day and actually know what the teacher means in sci when he's talking about photosynthesis....not about photos....

keeping a folder with all your study notes is real helpful, espec. towards the end of the school yr with all the exams and what not

well, that's all i got atm

    XD
