  1. If you go in as a private E-1 or E-2, and depending on your MOS and therefore the time you are in AIT, you can expect about $6000-7000 by the time you graduate if you conserve most of it.


  2. Depends on the deal - what you signed up for (incentives, bonuses, rank) Your recruiter can tell you and you can probably look at your enlistment papers.  Good luck!!

  3. if money is such an important issue, you should have enlisted into the regular army. the drill pay you get on the weekends might be wasted away on gas or whatever else your major expense is.

    to answer your question a national guardsman on active duty during basic training (you) will earn $1240 / month for the first 4 months then $1275 / month afterwords. once you head back to your state look to earn somewhere between $300-$400 weekend with you paying out of pocket for additional expenses (food, travel time, rent, fun, etc)
