We are going a Carnival cruise to Cozumel from New Orleans, is there anything we should definately do on the ship, or do when we dock in Cozumel?

  1. As Southern Apostolic mentioned, it sounds like the Fantasy. not too much to add to his good ideas.... there's a great water-slide!

Also the favorite excursion in Cozumel is swimming with the Dolphins! Definitely expensive ($125-150), but it's a once in a lifetime experience. Be sure you do THE SWIM and not the lesser 'experience'; it's worth the extra $$ to actually swim with them!

An alternative is swimming with the Sea Lions (right next to the Dolphin swim); it's about 1/2 the price and you swim in a pool, but it's a lot of fun! (pic: http://www.mycruisejournals.com/Images/c... )

    Have a great time!

  2. Carnival is great, and at 15, you will never be bored. Your ship may or may not have Club CO2, which is a group for guests from 15-17 years of age. It has plenty of activities.

One thing I loved in Cozumel was the Snorkeling. Great views. You should also look into SCUBA.

  3. There is plenty to do on the ship.  You will meet loads of other 15 year olds.  Get their addresses for after the cruise.

Carnival is the party ship to have fun.

I am glad you are not booked on a 10 - 14 day cruise as these cruises are loaded with us senior citizens --- young people don' t  have the time or money for cruises longer than a week.

Go shopping in Cozumel.  Not much there.  I don't even get off the boat.  Everything you could ask for is on the boat.

Mix with your piers and take part in the ship board games.  Get into the mood and have fun.  Don't be alone, stay together for safety.

    Smooth sailing

  4. everything...but unfortunately all activities off the boat are for an additional fee. And of course more tipping. So I would recommend checking with the purser on the boat and get a list of activities and costs...then do the things you can afford. Have fun.... even if you only stay on the ship...you'll have a great time.

  5. I think i'm going on the same one on August 2. I'm fourteen year old girl, 15 in nov, and will be wit my family. There's the teen dance club club o2 and when you register you get a list of activities. I'm gonna be in a suite on the verandah deck and am doin the deluxe sail, snorkel, and beack party. I can't wait to get on the fantasy it's gonna be so much fun it's gonna be my first cruise i have a question like this so check it out. By the way don't book a dolphin encounter my sister and her husband, the people i'm going with, have been on two cruises before and say they show videos saying that the dolphins are dangerous, but each cruise my sisters gone on ,both to the western caribbean, she says they swim beside the boat. And this will be the second time they go on the deluxe sail, snorkel, and beach party.

  6. plaia mya grand beach park is fun for all ages. it has mexican buffet a pool  tons of water activities and shopping. you can go bye ferry, bus, or snorkeling then be taken to plaia mia, . you are there for 4 hrs if u only do the park, but if u do something else and then are taken to the park, u get 2 hrs for each.  there is so much to do there. i had a great time.

as far is the ship goes, i  have been on the celebration for carnival and mariner of the seas for royal caribbean. nothing much stood out to me on carnival accept the food.--- try the macaroni in the dining room- even if you think yuor to old to eat that- its good stuff!

have fun on your cruise! and whatever you do in cozumel hope i helped!

  7. Sounds like you are going on the Fantasy.  It is one of my favorite ships.  My kids take part in some of the Camp Carnival activities.  There is also mini golf on the top deck.  You will have access to pizza and ice cream 24/7.  The highlight are the contests to try to win a plastic Carnival trophy, fondly known as a "ship on a stick".  There is a teen dance club.  they also have ping pong and other sports.  There are shows in the evening that would be appropriate for your age.

I know it sounds stuffy, but you should eat in the dining room.  The experience is awesome.  My kids actually tried snails to try to disgust us, and found out that they like them.  No accounting for taste.

On Cozumel, there are watersports, and some of the best beaches around.  Just go, relax, and have fun.
