on Princess cruises the highest is $9 when i was on the ship last year in the south pacific 29 days cruise. i have done 8 cruises. very good chance we be doing one this year after august and maybe next year, for our 25 year.

A speciality drink like a mai tai or daquiri will run you around 7 0r 8 bucks plus for each drink you order they tap on a mandatory bar tip charge . A beer will run you about 4 or 5 bucks plus the bar tip charge. You can buy a bucket of beer which includes 5 or 6 beer over ice...If i remember correctly it was around 12 bucks....And believe me they push the alchol on you its how they make thier money.  Went to jamaica in March and last year went to mexico ..princess cruises do a great job..you have fun.....but bring your money...lots of hidden charges....you do know about the charge thats added to your bill every day as a mandatory tip ?  It is 10.50 per day per person

Alcohol is what they make there money on. I have been on 8 cruises with Princess and they do indeed push alcohol on you. Mixed drinks are about $7 and beer is about $4. Wine at dinner is pretty pricey too. I would usually purchase 1 cocktail a day and one bottle of wine with my dinner on a 7 day cruise. I even watch how much sodas I get. If you like good coffee a lot and capachino's, or lattes, buy a coffee card at the coffee bar. They don't advertise these, but if you like these special drinks daily, it will save you some good money.

Its so easy to bring your cruise account card over for yet another drink... So make a budget by spliting your amount in the number of nights the cruise is. It would help you runing out of money at the end of the cruise. And also remember that youll have to pay for every drink at the bars and most at the reasturants. Theyre not always say so before but not much is for free today. Johan
