I've lost a bunch of weight but still don't feel bathing suit ready. I'm not obese, but I used to enjoy beer...quite abit!

I keep having nightmares that I get on this cruise (Carnival/July2nd) and everyone around the pool is ripped, tan, and toned.

What is the physical demographic for these things?

And plz, any cruel responses WILL be reported.

  1. For some people, cruises are just 24 hour all you can eat buffets! Trust me, there are many people that are not tanned and toned, TRUST ME! Sure, there will be the odd chickie in her string bikini looking tanned and gorgeous  but, speaking from experience, there are two hairy fat guys in speedos for every "perfect" girl.

Don't worry about it, just wear a modest suit and enjoy yourself!

  2. I went on Princess cruises and the obese people on there were uncountable, there were that many!!!!!

  3. I've been on a few cruises and you normally have people of all ages and sizes. You'll find people bigger as well as smaller than you. Just don't worry about it, relax and enjoy yourself.

  4. Ok, here's the thing. You will see all body types on a cruise from the super skinny to the obese and all wearing swim suits. I, myself also lots 40 lbs and feel a lot better, but am still plump. The thing to remember is you will never see these people again(at least not likely), so have fun, let the wild side come out and live like you are the most beautiful person on the ship.

  5. A cruise is rather UNIQUE. It does not matter your body type or how much money one has. Everyone on the ship has paid to be there, are there to enjoy the cruise, sights, ports of call, trying new foods, being waited on hand & foot & meeting people from all over the world. I may have missed afew but, no one is perfect. I have been on over 20 cruises & everyone is friendly and there for the whole cruise experience.

    Relax & ENJOY.

  6. your question kinda made me laugh . (the nightmare part) i promise you have nothing to worry about. youre going to meet and see people from around the world. you will hear so many different languages that it will blow your mind. everyone is there to enjoy their hard working money that had to earn to go on the cruise.

    have fun!!!

  7. I've been on a few cruises and the people come in so many different sizes, shapes, and colors.  The most important thing is that you know that you worked hard to lose the weight and now is your time to enjoy yourself.  If you just don't feel comfortable showing off your body, there are ways to get around it.  If you are a male (I apologize, but I wasn't sure from your question), get yourself a cool t-shirt and cut the sleeves off and some board shorts.  If female, get a really cute cover-up and some really cute sandals.   Believe me, having confidence in yourself and a great pool side outfit, no one is going to be worried about how much weight you did or did not lose.

    Have a great time!

  8. the cruise I went on there were all ages and shapes and sizes ... yes there will be some tanned and toned bodies around but there will likely be some that are not as well ... usually someone who "walks tall" and confident looks fine, it's the people who cringe and cower that stand out and draw attention to themselves, so my advice would be to try to lose your inhibitions, not look at others and go ahead and enjoy yourself

  9. Beat answer is there are people of all shapes and sizes on a cruise , and the bigger they are the more skin they seem to want to show.. believe me there is nothing to worry about, no matter how you look, or think you look.. besides you don't know any of them people and they don't know you.. on a cruise most people let all those things go .. every one there has payed good money to have fun, and that's what they do..age, race, money and social status all seam to disappear. life on a cruise ship is total separation from the real world , and no one cares about any thing ,except FUN !!!
