  1. bring lots of twinkes. smuggle a couple of your friends on board. bring your animals.

  2. From your brief and sketchy description it sounds like you are doing a Mediterranean cruise, probably out of Barcelona Spain.  That's the one that we did on a Royal Caribbean ship.

First of all there will be plenty to do on ship and depending upon what cruise line there will probably be a "teens" program.  The program will have a staff person assigned to get the teens together for fun and games.  Some ships even have  a teen disco that is separate from the regular one.  There will be an arcade area of ship, plenty of pools and hot tubs, and if you are going on a RC ship I know they will have a rock climbing wall, a basketball/tennis court, and  a mini-golf course.

A good portion of your fun will be taking tours off the ship.  You will see mostly historical places on a Mediterranean cruise, like the Vatican and Colissium in Rome, Pompeii in Naples, the Parthenon in Athens and Ephesus in Turkey.

You should ask your parent which cruise line and ship you are going on and then go to that line's web site and find the ship and it will not only show where things are on ship but also in general what programs it will have.  After you are on ship you will receive in your cabin a "newsletter" detailing everything that is going on on ship that day.

  3. I just returned from the Mediterranean this past Sunday after spending 2 weeks travelling on the Disney Cruise Ship Magic.  I was surprised with the number of teen activities, family activities, as well as outdoor activities to beaches, or shopping.

The Cruise starts off in Barcelona (we arrived two days early but Disney took care of the hotel).  Disney hosts shore excursions at all ports of call, but Barcelona is an easy city to get around/walk around with reasonable bus/subway and other public transportation.

    Ports of Call are:

    Barcelona, Spain

    Palermo, Sicily (Italy)

    Naples (Pompeii/Sorrento/Isle of Capri)

    Olbia, Sardinia

    Rome, Italy

    Florence/Pisa, Italy

    Marseille, France

    Monaco/Mante Carlo (Nice/Cannes) France

    Barcelona

I was impressed with the Crew, Service, Cleanliness, Food, and Shore Excursions.  The only thing I might do differently is to take slightly longer cruise version that has another day at sea in the middle.

Check out their website(s) to get the details and particulars. If your already a Disney Vacation Club member, you might get big discounts.  I met several couples who said they paid on the standard taxes.

    Good Luck and have fun.
