  1. Sunblock, cash (especially singles for tips)  I usually give the porters at the pier two or three dollars per bag, and if you order room service I give $3 to $5, Ipod or other mp3 player, your own pool towel is nice to have in addition to the ones provided.  Do not overpack!!! We just got back and we had seven bags (Yes, I'm married)LOL.  We didn't use half the stuff we took.  There are no irons in the staterooms, but they have dry cleaner on-board.

    Hope this helps.

  2. bring an extra lighter and a flare gun in case you get shipwrecked

  3. sunblock, music, book...u don't need too much cuz there's plenty to do on a ship. I've been on about 16-17 cruises n i always bring stuff that i never use. You won't be bored at all. Cruises are great.

  4. ok on my cruises (i take 2 a year) i take my I Pod, passport, sun block, $$$$, ID's (not a drivers licence leave that at home), a good book(its very relaxing to lay on the deck and read).

  5. we just got back from a 7 day cruise of the western Caribbean with royal Caribbean. take lots of money. everything on board and on shore is over priced. other than that: sunscreen, sun glasses, 2 pair of swimming trunks, water shoes, sandals, good pair of walking shoes, shorts, shirts, suit and tie for formal dining, socks, any medication (prescribed or over the counter), a jacket, a poncho for rainy days ashore, birth certificate and driver's license. i also took band aids and was glad. some of the beaches were pretty rocky and we ended up with a few cuts on our feet. the medical facility wanted 50 cents for one band aid. doesn't sound like much but when you need more than one and have to replace it several times a day, it can add up. and a watch. there weren't too many on board and you will need to know at what time to be back from excursions and when to be places for shows and dinner. have fun!

  6. You need to bring basic beach stuff,  some nice casual clothes for evening and a couple of "formal"outfits.  Basically what would be appropriate to wear to a wedding or church.

Bring some cash to spend in port and for any extra tips.

It is a good idea to have a hanging toiletry bag as space is limited.

Bring some wine.  Most cruise ships allow wine to be carried onboard during embarkation and this will save you money because you can have a couple of glasses in your room.  You can also bring it to the dining room and they usually charge a 10.00 corkage fee.  Read your cruise documents for details...

Bring several swimsuits because you tend to go through them and I always like to have dry ones.

Bring a happy face because you are about to have a fun time!  :-)

What cruise are you going on?  I am going on Carnival Conquest Oct. 22

  7. If this is with Ocean Village follow the guidelines in their Brochure, If this is with P&O your travel agent would or should have put you right ,you probally despite all this need, a warm jumper `cos out in the ocean it does get cold.Cunard provide a dvd. There again it depends what time of year you are going out.

  8. SUNBLOCK, music, a good book or two, deck of cards, book of crossword puzzles and something to dance in.
