  1. Check the website of the airline that you are traveling with.

  2. Basicully you can pack as much as you like on a cruise but I wouldnt recomend to overpack since the storage space is very limited in most cabins and standard one are fairly small.

The most critical issue is to dont pack any dangerous item (the rules could be found on your cruise lines web page). Such are explosives, explosive liquids, weapons and ammo. Dont pack the same things as you wouldnt pack on an airplane.

As for the flight its a different story. The normal amount alouded is around 20 to 25 kilo (40 to 50 pound) in one bag plus hand luggage but the rules are different for every company so check your airlines rules on theyre web page. Johan

  3. U.S. Air isn't charging for the first checked bag -- YET.  You'll have to pay extra if the suitcase weighs more than 50 pounds when you put it on that scale they have.  If you check more than one bag, there's a $25.00 charge (and again, if the second bag weighs more than 50 pounds, you'll have to pay extra for it).  You're allowed one carry-on other than your purse, and it has to be small enough to fit in that little metal frame they have for them.  If it's too big, you'll have to check it and pay for it.  Only the smallest suitcases in sets will fit in those little metal frames, and any kind of sports bag will be too big, but a backpack or a computer case is OK.
