I'm going to Spain on Sunday and it's going to be very hot. Do you know any tips for keeping cool throughout the day and night?

  1. Air conditioning works wonders!  As do cold showers.  While out and about, you might as well buy one of those fans they all use!  They work wonders!  I picked one up at the Pza de España in Seville for 3 or 4€, and I still use it for hot flashes!

Oh, yeah.  Water.  Drink LOTS of water!  fortunately, the tap water in most of Spain is really good.  Just bring a bottle, and if you can put it in the freezer overnight (depends, of course, on what sort of lodging you have.)

  2. Hiya

I live in Spain and it is very hot at the moment, my advice is sit in the shade, drink plenty of water and jump in the pool or sea whenever you can and thank your lucky stars you are not having to work like me...

  3. Are you just boasting or what. lol

stay indoors a/c or fan, pina colarda with ice, or a great big jug of sangrai. parasol when you take a dip in the pool. AND most of  all you got to carry one of those little fans, that you can carry round your neck. well worth the money

  4. take me with you lol hahaha :)

  5. When in Spain - Siesta!

  6. you can get cooling spray from boots.. its just rays of water you spray on your face to cool you down, it really helps especially if you keep it in the frige overnight. I also recommend staying in during the hottest part of the day.

    Hope it helps! x*x

  7. well on your next holiday goto iceland

but your in spain so find a cave

  8. With respect, why are you going to a hot climate then wanting to stay cool!

The heat here in Spain has been intense the past few weeks. Today on the Costa Del Sol it is cooler.

Keeping cool is easy. Spend your time in the shade, the swimming pool or in an air conditioned room. Most people who come here on holiday can't wait to get out in the sun. Most don't know when they've had too much until it is too late. We call them "crabsticks" because that's what many look like.

Make sure you bring with you factor 25 sunblock and take it easy in the sun for the first few days. Drink plenty of water during the day. A few simple things to remember and you should have a great holiday.

  9. Sun hat, shade, plenty of water, sun cream, you may need to cover you're shoulders - and so on.
