I'm going on holiday to the Mayan Riviera, 45 mins from Cancun at the begining of June?

will i hit the rainy season?

I have lived in Cancun and Playa for 15 years.  Rainy season starts the 2nd week of September and ends at the end of November.  June is the start of summer and gets pretty warm.  3 weeks ago we hit a heat wave with extreme temps for about 10 days.  Now we are in a cold spell.  June should be great with highs of 35c and little if any rain at all.

YOU WILL NOT HIT RAIN SEASON....JUNE IS A VERY GOOD MONTH HERE IN CANCUN.  RAIN SEASON STARTS USUALLY AROUND THE LAST OF SEPTEMBER THROUGH MAYBE DECEMBER.....AND EVEN THEN...IT IS HIT OR MISS.  IT IS NOT LIKE VIETNAM....GONNA RAIN FOR DAYS AND DAYS AND DAYS.  I DO NOT KNOW OF ANY MONTH THAT IS NOT A GOOD MONTH FOR CANCUN.

I was there in June last year and only had one day of rain, it lasted about 15 minutes, and then went back to being a beautiful day.

emmm well there the hurricane and rainy season stars on....july...and ends on....september, sometimes after, sometimes before....december is a good month to visit Quintana Roo or Veracruz beaches jejeje....well, sometimes..the best option is on march, april, may....when its very very hot !!! really..the temperature in that dates its like....35 to 43 ºC.....emmm anyway......i wish you luck...

You'll be going just as the hurricane season gets underway and it lasts until November. It'll be hot and when it does rain it rains hard like you've never seen before but it's kind of nice lol

I just looked up the history on the weather front....

The temperatures for the beginning of June last year were 78 to 88 degrees max with 10 inches of rain on the 1st June, 16 inches 4th June, 1 inch on the 11th June, 4 inches on the 12th, and errrr a tornado on the 15th. None or very little rain in the days between.

Information was gained from the nearest weather station located at Cancun airport.

It sounds bad but most of this rain will have fell over a very short period of time and it's not unpleasant and loads of people still stay outside in the pools etc as we did because it's still hot.
