  1. First time I went I tought myself.

I would say learn on your own.

    Its not hard.

And if you catch on things easy you will be just dandy.

    Just remember to lean back.

And most of all have fun with it, Dont stress if you cant get it the first few times.

  2. I would highly suggest taking just one lesson. I only took one when I first started and it gave me many of the basic skills I needed to build on.

But other advice...BEND YOUR KNEES!!!! It's really easy to lock your knees, and that's a really excellent way to break your legs.

WEAR WRIST GUARDS. One of the most common injuries among novice riders (and advanced riders, too) is broken wrists. I've seen waaay too many people break their wrists over the years.

Wear a helmet, knee pads if you are going in icy conditions, and take lots of breaks. When you get tired is when you injure yourself.

    Good luck, have a blast!!!!!!

  3. Go twice.  Most don't like it the first time.  The second time is way better.  Borrow equipment until u decide u want to persue it.

  4. Yay! Im the first one to answer! Ok yes i do have some advice. The key to learning is to first take it slow. ride on ur heels (you're board should be horizontal) and find ur balance. You wlll fall quite a bit and u will be WAY sore the next day but once you get the hang of it it's a blast! It also helps if u have someone teach u and actually show u how to do it. Lol well I hope u have a BLAST! Good Luck!

  5. lesson, wrist guards, helmet, dont look down (eyes always looking where you want to go), bend knees, have fun.
