I'm going to Amsterdam on holiday, is there racism there?

no more than anywhere else.... the racism of choice in holland is against the mollucans and such from the indies. did you know that the equivalent to santa claus in holland is black .. so kids will love you/

But racism is everywhere so if people do bother you just ignore them or go to the police.

Simple answer is no!

Amsterdam especially is a mix of different cultures,religons and nationalities both residents and also of course tourists.

There are literally people of all colours and I have never witnessed any problems steming from racial intolerance.  'Live and let live'  is the general consensus, so unless you cause problems (regardless of what colour skin you have) then there won't be a problem

I have friends & colleagues - black, white, asian etc and have just moved from the outskirts of Amsterdam after having lived there (in relative peace and quiet!)
