  1. If your flight is landing in Brisbane, your best bet would be to initially make use of the Airtrain.  The Airtrain runs express services every half hour from the airport, through Brisbane city, and onto the Gold Coast.  A return adult trip to the furthest Gold Coast station (Robina) is just under $50.

I would recommend catching a plane to get from the Gold Coast to Sydney and back.  The cheapest flights are generally with Jetstar, from around $79 one way.  Bear in mind that the Gold Coast airport is some 20km away from the CBD / Surfers Paradise region (where I assume you'd be staying), so you'd be looking at a taxi fare as well.

Catching a bus would be the other alternative from Gold Coast to Sydney, but expect to travel for 14 hours and pay only a fraction cheaper than a plane.

All the best with your trip!

  2. Look around Brisbane city on foot, If your accommodation is outside the city, bus it. Bus it to the Gold Coast and see the sites there. Go for a ride on the amphibian vehicle. I would

bus it to Sydney during daylight just so as you can spot the

countryside on the way down. It is the 'coastal' road but a very limited stretch takes in the coast. Five minutes, say.Sydney has an excellent public transport system and you will get around everywhere quite easily and economically.

Ride on the ferry to Manly and back. It's a great trip. Catch other Sydney ferry rides too. Even so, that can wear a bit thin, so look up the sorts of things that may interest you before you go so as you arrived full of knowledge as to what you want to do.

    Have a great time.

  3. Hello and welcome to Australia.

Follow the advice of Daniel S and you can't go wrong.

    Have a great holiday.
