Be honest...would a couple of 25 year olds be miserable? Maybe Tulum instead? I'm just not a believer in Xel Ha...because it is not a real archeaological site.

  1. You'll be fine. Yes you will be hot, you might even sweat through your shirt a bit but Chichen Itza is very impressive and totally worth it. Just wear a sun hat, breathable fabric, or even quick dry. Bring or buy water and you'll be OK. If you are really worried about bring an extra shirt for the ride home and change in the bathroom on the way out, but I don't think it will be necessary.

You'll have time to cool down in the shade with a beer or in the air conditioned bus/car on the way back. (or better yet with a beer on the air conditioned bus!).

By the way you may want to do both Chichen Itza and Tulum. Tulum you can do in a morning if you are driving. It's much closer and smaller than Chichen Itza.

    Enjoy your trip!

  2. Chichen Itza is doable with a hats, sunscreen and plenty of water.Shade is a little closer at the Tulum site.Tulum is a very small but unique(because of it's location near the sea)site.Chichen Itza is a"much"larger site Both are worth your time to visit.

If you don't take an organized tour to Chichen Itza and instead do it yourselves, you can also stop at Valladolid on the way back and have a look around a real colonial city.

Feel free to email me if you have any othe questions or concerns.

  3. it'll b fine .i mean, it won't b as hot as saudi arabia. i guess. esp. Mecca is an extreamy hot place& v walk bare foot there. believe me ,it's not easy. but i'm sure there'll be a.c's there. as there are in saudi arabia.

  4. You should be fine if you are that age and have lived through a couple of humid summers in your lifetime. Just be prepared to stay hydrated, wear a hat with a rim on it and you will have no problem at all. I am also a believer in bringing a fresh shirt to change into for the ride back to Cancun. Finally, Xel-Ha and Xcaret are fun places but are in no way trying to pass themselves off as something realistic or authentic.

    Have fun in paradise,
